About Andrew Hull
The Martin Brothers work has been a big influence on my own work through the years. I want to bring together my interest in birds and animals with caricature to develop humanistic qualities into each piece. I have created individual humerous characters with heads that are able to be moved, creating vessel type sculptures and short storylines have been created to describe each character.
I had ten years experience of being a fantasy sculptor before being employed by Cobridge Stoneware in Stoke-on-Trent. At Cobridge I was asked to produce Martin Brothers type work (my dream job). In December 2005 I decided to set up my own business called Burslem Pottery.
My future ambitions are to carry on adding to a highly collectable range and I hope to develop my own contemporary style with each new piece of work.
