The Major Owl

I wanted to do a large piece that would stand out in the range. This piece was sculpted for Cobridge Stoneware whilst a full-time employee in 2001. This was my sixth piece of the range which has now expanded to over 30 pieces.

It had to be an owl for this large piece as I love their character.  As I designed that character on paper it took a regimental stance. Once I put the face on, it was clear to me that the owl looked like an old army major so I enhanced the look even further.
