GENESIS - (UNICORN & PHOENIX)

This piece was created for the Holland Studio Craft range “Fables” in 1998 and was limited to 2950 pieces and sold out in December 2000.

The “Fables” range was moving into more complex storytelling pieces (including other mythological creatures).  I wanted a sense of the Unicorn walking cautiously into the temple of the Phoenix only to be started when the Phoenix bursts through the temple floor.

The glowing red heat in front of the white Unicorn captures a sense of power.
